The first time we were shutout since June 30, 2018. 2018. This streak lasted 220 games and was the second longest in baseball history. The longest? Us. 308 games. 1931 to 1933.

That’s unreal. It’s really tough to be upset when you have stats like that. And I’m not even a stats guy! That’s when you know…

Sooo….yeah…we lost 7-zip.

Our offense was terrible and Tanaka didn’t pitch a shutout – that’s gonna equal an L. Don’t get it twisted though! Masa didn’t have a bad game at all. LET IT BE KNOWN. I AM NOT HATING ON MASA.

Okay, just had to make that clear.

6 IP, 7 hits, 2 ER, 2 walks, 5 Ks. A sac fly in the first and a solo shot in the fifth.

The goddamn Texas Rangers held us to a measly six hits on Labor Day afternoon. We had runners on 2nd and 3rd in the first and eighth innings…other than that? Pretty much NOTHING.

It’s cool though, guys. It’s cool. I’m chill. No biggie.

Hey! Luke ripped a double at one point! That’s fun! #MYFirstBaseman

Nestor Cortes ended up getting lit up for 4 earned runs and then we threw another new guy out there: Tyler Lyons. Another classic situation of “Boonie Using a Bunch of Nobody Relievers When We’re Losing So As To Not Deplete Our Bullpen Aces”

^^ That’s Boonie’s favorite game ever.

Ah, well. 7-0 Loss.

Moving right along.

Let’s get back on the winning train tonight….or, at least score a run.
