Yeah…Do I have to write about this game?

I know, I know. That’s a rhetorical question, but the point remains the same. Do I really have to write about this game??!

We haven’t one of the shellackings at our expense since the Red Sox series in Boston. That honestly feels like 3 years ago if I’m being honest.

I’m going to recap this one REALLY fast. Because the game sucked and I wanna put it out of my mind…

The opener strategy did NOT work in this contest, which, I suppose, makes all the opener-haters kinda happy? Maybe?

Chaddy Green got absolutely lit up for 5 earned runs, on 2 homers, while only getting one out.

The Indians proceeded to hit two more 2-run homers off Johnny Lasagna in his return to the bigs.

Of course, Chance Adams also gave up a bunch of runs. What else is new? A 2 run homer, a RBI single, and, eventually, a 2 run single we’re credited to the fake Cali teen. If you haven’t been keeping up, that’s 14 FUCKING runs.

Nestor was the only pitcher who didn’t give up an earned run in this game – probably because he only came in for 1 out at the end of the 7th. BUT, credit to you, Nestor!

We threw Mike “I Don’t Pop Molly, I Rock Tom” Ford onto the bump, for shits and giggles, and he naturally got lit up as well. A RBI single, a 2 run homer, and a solo shot and bing-bang-boom. 19 runs.

As for us? Gio had RBI singles in the 1st and 7th, Didi and Gar had solo shots in the 5th and 6th, respectively, and Gleyber crushed one in the 8th.

Does this make us revisit the opener-strategy in the playoffs? I honestly don’ t know. I just want this game to be wiped from my consciousness.

Please win tonight.
