This was a pretty frustrating loss, overall. In some instances, this would be the kind of loss that would make me want to bodycheck a DJ – I haven’t used that threat in quite some time…

BUT! Here’s the thing – given our recent success, and by “success” I mean kicking the shit out of, basically, every team we have faced and having a comfortable first place lead…Given our recent success, it’s okay to have a shitty loss like this.

But it was, indeed, shitty. Don’t get it twisted folks.

We were 1/12 with runners in scoring position. That’s BAD. You know something is terrible when I come at you with an actual statistic. Normally, I don’t do that ish.

Boonie also left CC in for a bit too long. Ah, well. It’s one L. Not a big deal.

I still gotta recap this game, though! I have a duty to you, the fans. Credit to me…

Gardy Party kept the vibes going from his 3 run YABO on Friday:

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a THOUSAND times – if this is truly Gardy’s last year with the team, I’m really gonna miss him. A lot. A lot, a lot. Shout out to 21 Savage.

The scrub Rays recorded a measly RBI single in the 2nd against CC, the Big Guy. Other than that? He was MOWING these fools down.

Through the 6th inning, Mr. Future Hall of Famer was absolutely lights out. He also gave us a little time for a well-placed RBI single by Hicksy. “Well-placed Hicksy RBI singles” are a thing of beauty. Never forget that.

But, then….Boonie left him in the damn game for too long. I know his pitch count was low, but COME ON. CC is a 5 inning guy. Maybe 6 innings when he is absolutely locked in – like he was on this occasion.

And, even though giving up a 2 run homer isn’t the end of the world, this situation could have definitely been avoided.

Let me be clear…this one is on Aaron Fuckin’ Boone. Not on CC. Just wanted to make that clear.

CC still had a very solid game: 7 IP, 6 hits, 3 ER, 2 walks, 5 Ks.

Now, with the boys trailing 3-2, and after a shutout inning by Agent Zero Ottavino, we needed some 9th inning heroics.

2 outs…Cue the guy who notched the “well-placed RBI single” earlier in this one.

Big time knock for #OurCenterFielder

And then…it all was for naught. But again, what are ya gonna do? Can’t win ’em all.

With 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th, Chaddy Green gave up a walk-off solo shot. Whoop dee doo. The Rays are still trash.

Let’s just crush them today. Please.
