Guess who’s back. Back again. Hicky’s back. Tell a friend

I know – I use this gif a lot. Don’t hate, it’s great. Hey! That rhymes!

Unfortunately, he was 0 for 4 with 3 strikeouts – but that is okayyyy.

He was getting used to Major League pitching again. It’s going to take him a few games to get fully adjusted. Respect the learning curve, haters! Take your time, Hicksy. Glad you’re back.

We won the second game of this day-night doubleheader 3-1. Simple victory, but it’s still another check in the DUB column. So, we’ll take it.

Holy shit.

This is a total 180 from last year. All jokes aside, it is truly remarkable to see how well Domingo Germán has been pitching.

Like I’ve said in the past, it was clearly evident that he had some filthy pitches. He just needed to settle down and focus on his control.

You guys know that I love to pat myself on the back. I’m a big “credit to me” guy. Ain’t nothing wrong with that.

But – hand up. I did not expect Domingo to ever be this dominant. We lost Sevy for (probably) the whole year, and gained a new ace. Funny how life works.

Sooo. Yeah. Domingo’s outing on Wednesday:

7 IP, 6 hits, 1 ER, 1 walk, 8 Ks. His lone run was a measly sacrifice fly.

They might be underrated, but it can still be considered measly!

After his day was complete, we got back-to-back performances from Zack “With a K” and Classic Chappie! Pitching twice in the same day! HOWEVER (yes, Stephen A. voice) Zack was the one to surrender a hit in this inning. Not Chappie:

As for our offense, LUKE VOIT IS BACK BABY.

My boy Lukey has had a rough couple of weeks. As the President of the Luke Voit #MYFirstBaseman Fan Club, I almost had to go into hiding. I was being ridiculed in the press for standing up for Luke! Okay, okay – I’ve got jokes.

The point is…his slump is OVER.

3 for 4 with 2 RBIs: a RBI double and a RBI single!

Oh, and Gleyber hit another yabo. *Yawn*

His third on the day, counting the two from Game 1. This kid is a straight monster.

And, that was that. 3-1 dub.

We only got to play these two games against Baltimore, due to the rained out games. That’s good for them, honestly. Did they really want to get the shit kicked out of them more? It was already an embarrassment for that poor franchise.

Ah, well.

After beating Tampa Bay 2 out of 3 games in the terrible and shitty Trop, we get them at our house this weekend. I’ll be in attendance tomorrow!

And we’ve got The Big Guy on the bump tonight!
